This is some of the experiences that have taken place in our lives as we have been called to serve as Mission President and wife of the Mississippi Jackson Mission in 2009. We are now adding some candid shots of our missionaries as they move the Work forward in this Great Mission. Sorry to report that we cannot include everyone, we try to hit some of the highlights.

Beauty in the Skies
The past couple of weeks we have been on the road visiting each companionship in their apartments. It is always a wonderful experience to see them and to learn about the work they are doing. As President Tucker interviewed them I visited with their companion about their Area Book and Apartment. I also was able to let several of them log on to the New FamilySearch website. It was an amazing experience to see them connect with ancestors who joined the church in it’s beginnings and migrated with the Saints to Utah. Of course several of them are the only members in their family, so we started to build a family tree for them and even reserved some work for them to complete in the temple once they return home from their mission. I am so sorry I didn’t take pictures of each companionship, it would have been fun to post them on the blog. I did take a picture of the sky one afternoon – I am always impressed with the majestic beauty that is all around.

July Zone Leader Council
Time again for Zone Leader Council. Welcome new Zone Leaders Elders Adcox, Davis, Garrett, Johnson, & Snider. For a lunch time activity the elders wanted to show us how well they can make a human pyramid, as you can see they accomplished their goal, what followed was a huge pile of bodies on the floor. I am grateful none of them have complained about injuries they might have received.

New Assistant
Elder Bowen has been called to serve as an Assistant to President Tucker. He will replace Elder Bishop who will continue serving his Spanish speaking mission in Pearl. We really appreciate all that Elder Bishop has done while serving as an assistant and look forward to getting to know Elder Bowen as our newest assistant.
